Details

The SynoCare Nasal CPAP Gel Pad is designed to provide a soft, comfortable protective layer between your CPAP/BiPAP mask and the sensitive skin around the bridge of your nose. Made from soft silicone, the gel pad helps reduce direct pressure and friction caused by prolonged mask contact, making nighttime PAP therapy more comfortable.

It is especially useful for CPAP and BiPAP users who experience red marks, pressure points, skin irritation or discomfort around the nasal bridge after wearing their mask for several hours.

Soft Silicone Cushioning

The soft silicone construction provides gentle cushioning at the point where the mask contacts the nose. By creating a protective layer between the mask cushion and skin, the pad can help minimize rubbing and pressure during extended use.

Designed for CPAP & BiPAP Masks

SynoCare Nasal Gel Pad is designed to work with a wide range of CPAP, Auto-CPAP, BiPAP and Auto-BiPAP masks. It can be particularly helpful with nasal and full-face mask designs that place pressure on the bridge of the nose.

Helps Reduce Red Marks & Skin Discomfort

Repeated mask contact can sometimes leave temporary red marks or cause irritation around the nasal bridge. The gel pad provides a cushioning interface that helps reduce friction and pressure, allowing users to wear their mask more comfortably.

Reusable & Washable

The SynoCare gel pad is designed for repeated use. Its washable construction makes it convenient for regular CPAP users who need a comfortable protective layer every night.

Flexible & Customizable Fit

The pad can be positioned according to the user's mask and nasal bridge. The material can also be trimmed where required to achieve a more suitable fit with the particular mask interface.

How to Use
  1. Clean your face and make sure the nasal bridge is dry and free from oil or cream.
  2. Clean the gel pad according to its instructions before use.
  3. Position the pad across the bridge of your nose, exactly where the CPAP mask cushion normally presses.
  4. If it is an adhesive pad, gently press it onto the skin so it stays in position. If it is a non-adhesive pad, simply place it on the nose.
  5. Put the CPAP/BiPAP mask over the gel pad.
  6. Adjust the headgear so the mask is secure but not excessively tight.
  7. Start the CPAP and check for leaks. If necessary, make small strap adjustments.
  8. After removing the mask, inspect the skin for redness, irritation or pressure marks.

Important: The gel pad should not be used to compensate for a badly fitting or excessively tight mask. If there is persistent pain, an open wound, significant swelling, infection, or worsening skin damage, the mask fit/interface should be reviewed by a healthcare professional

For whom is it suitable

It is particularly useful for:

  • CPAP/BiPAP users with redness or pressure marks on the nasal bridge.
  • People who experience soreness or discomfort after wearing the mask for several hours.
  • Users who are prone to skin irritation from the silicone mask cushion.
  • People experiencing pressure around the nose or between the eyes from the mask.
  • Users who have a minor mask-leak problem around the nasal bridge.
  • People using nasal or full-face masks where the mask cushion rests on the bridge of the nose.

It is less relevant for nasal-pillow masks, because those masks have minimal contact with the nasal bridge.
